Contest for New Images!

Here are the rules: Send an me appropriately-sized jpeg of an image having to do with our seminar that includes the words "Victorian Avant-Garde?" (Note the question mark.) The image does not have to be from the PRB. In fact, it would be great to see some other aspects of  "The Victorian Avant-Garde" represented. Maybe you can incorporate some of the images you're finding in your periodical assignment.

Early in the semester we had "Ophelia", now we have "The Blind Girl." To the left is s an early version that I felt was too whimsical and also kind of creepy. To make these, I've been using simple screengrabs with a text tool. I'm sure all of you know better ways to do it.

Think about using your own images, drawings, photos, designs, etc. This is not an assignment, it is completely optional. Students who send in something don't receive "extra credit," and students who don't send an image will not be penalized. If you're not a student, that's ok. You can send an image, too. Why not? Send jpegs to me at csmith@corcoran.org. Have fun.
